3 Days Murchison Falls National Park-In Uganda

Murchison Falls National Park is located in the northwestern region of Uganda and covers an area of about 3,893 square kilometers. The park is named after the Murchison Falls, a dramatic waterfall where the Victoria Nile forces its way through a narrow gap in the cliffs and drops 43 meters, creating a stunning display of power and beauty.

The park is also home to a wealth of wildlife, including the big five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos), along with giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and over 450 bird species. It is one of Uganda’s top destinations for safaris, known for its combination of boat cruises, game drives, and hiking.

Day 1: After being picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 7:00 am, you'll begin the 6-hour journey to Murchison Falls National Park, potentially stopping in Luwero to get some fruits. A stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary allows for rhino tracking on foot.You'll have lunch in Masindi before proceeding to the park and the top of Murchison Falls, where you can observe the falls squeezing through an 8-meter gorgeDepending on your lodging arrangements, you may unwind for the remainder of the evening

Day 2: An early breakfast precedes a morning game drive at 7:00 am, offering opportunities to see lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, and various birds.Following the game drive, you'll return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile.The boat ride will allow you to view Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the riverbanks, as well as various bird species. The boat trip takes you to the base of Murchison Falls.
